Mark Blaeuer’s poems and occasional translations of Spanish-language poems have appeared in nearly seventy literary journals over the past four decades. His B.A. was from Illinois College, and he has an M.A. in anthropology from the University of Arkansas. He worked as an archaeologist (both field and lab) in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Arkansas. He spent a quarter-century interpreting nature and culture for visitors at parks and museums in Illinois, Colorado, Utah, and Arkansas. He is now a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, focusing on the diamond history of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He and his wife Sharon live on several acres with assorted rescue dogs and cats, a few miles southwest of Hot Springs.
